Deploy Today? is a humorous take on one of the most anxiety-inducing decisions in software development: when to deploy your code. Born from the collective trauma of developers who have deployed on Fridays (and lived to regret it), this site provides you with the perfect excuse not to deploy... or the courage to do it anyway.

Why This Exists

Every developer has been there. You've just finished a feature, the tests are passing (mostly), and you're staring at that deploy button. Your heart rate increases. Sweat forms on your brow. The question echoes in your mind: "Should I deploy this today?"

Instead of making this life-altering decision yourself, why not let our sophisticated algorithm (a.k.a. a random message generator with a sense of humor) decide for you? At least then you'll have someone to blame.

Our deployment advice is based on rigorous research involving:

• The day of the week (Friday deployments are scientifically proven to cause anxiety)
• The current developer mood (detected through advanced coffee consumption algorithms)
• The phase of the moon (because why not?)

About the Creator

This site was created by Kevin Espiñeira, a developer who has made every possible deployment mistake at least twice. After years of deploying on Fridays, breaking production during lunch, and discovering bugs at 3 AM, Kevin decided to channel this experience into something useful: a website that gives you permission to procrastinate.
